  • An apprenticeship is a paid position of a minimum of 30 hours per week, including six hours per week of studying towards qualifications. Apprenticeships start from age 16, and can last from 12 months up to four years depending on your desired outcome level. Apprentices can achieve qualifications ranging from equivalent GCSEs right through to Masters degrees, all while being employed and gaining on-the-job knowledge and experience.

  • No tuition fees to pay. Your employe is responsible for paying any associated tuitions feels.

No student debt. Your entire apprenticeship is fully paid for by tour employer, including all training and exams. This enables you to gain your qualifications without amassing large debts.

Kickstart your professional network. The moment you enter the workplace, you become part of an industry and a network of associated employees. Proactively making positive connections and building relationships with colleagues, clients and industry specialists, is a huge benefit to your career. You can star building your online network immediately on LinkedIn. Follow Intake Talent.

Earn while you learn. When you start your apprenticeship, you’ll earn a salary from day one.

No fees to pay. Your entire apprenticeship is fully paid for by your employer, including all training and exams.

Expand your skillset on-the-job. Gain immediate knowledge and work experience as you enter the workplace alongside studying for your qualifications.

Career advancement. An apprenticeship gains you years of work experience ahead of new university graduates, giving you a professional competitive advantage and real-life experience for future job opportunities.

Fast track your expertise. By studying and working side-by-side as an apprentice, you’ll immediately put into practise and finesse your growing technical and theoretical knowledge.

Get a university degree. Apprenticeships offer all kinds of qualifications including university degrees. Every qualification is fully paid for by your employer.

  • Employers decide their apprentices’ wages, so there is no fixed salary. However, there is a National Minimum Wage for apprentices that employers must adhere to. The current National Minimum Wage for apprentices is £4.81 per hour for ages 16-18, and this continues to rise up to age 23 and £9.50 per hour. Lots of employers choose to pay above this.

  • An apprenticeship could be the ideal professional pathway for you. Here are some of the promising qualities and signs that we look for in our growing apprentice talent pool:

    • You’re keen to enter the workforce immediately and can’t wait to start your career.

    • You’d like to gain professional qualifications while working.

    • You excel at learning when there is a mixture of studying and on-the-job practical training.

    • You’re returning to work and are interested in a change of career.

    • You’d like to return to studying and want to earn money while you gain your qualifications.

    • You’re interested in alternative pathways of getting a degree.

  • There are lots of different apprenticeships available from level 2 to level 7, and the requirements can vary. For example, some apprenticeships may require GCSE Grade 4 / C in Maths and English. Please don’t worry if you don’t currently have those grades. The amazing thing about apprenticeships is that you can gain these qualifications through functional skills while you work. You will undergo an assessment to help establish a learning pathway to achieving the required grades, and you will take your exams at the end of your apprenticeship. Your apprenticeship will be structured to allow time for you to study, setting you up for success.

If you have any concerns about your current qualifications and whether they will affect your eligibility for an apprenticeship, please contact us for advice.

  • Get signed up with Intake Talent today. Register with us and we will arrange a one-to-one consultation with you to find out more about you, your skills and interests, and your career ambitions.
